Crochet/tree braids; Protective style or no?
When taking down the cornrows I didn't put anything on my hair, nor did I detangle or comb through.
I don't have any problem with dry, coarse and tangled hair nowadays but I was really surprised over how soft, moisturized and detangled my hair was!
It looks soft in the picture and it sure was soft. I didn't experience any breakage just shed hair which is normal and a must.
But most importantly: Moisture retention? Check
Length retention? We will see when I do a length check.
