From time to time your hair need some rest from manipulation, in other words from being touched. That's where protective styles come in to the picture.
In my opinion wigs are one of the the best long term protective styles however opinions really differ. You can find people that has lost their hairlines by using wigs constantly and others who have gained and retained several inches by sticking to wigs. Well, the moment of truth is almost here.

Not really a wig, but you get the picture lol

After the setback I had during my sew in I simply had to remind myself that not every hairstyle is for everybody. I just can't take sew-ins for longer than a week or two and with the time required to install it, that is not an option lol. I want to feel my scalp breath but I can't with weaves, but I know that my hair loves wigs so why not DIY?

We all know that I am not a professional so I did fail a bit, but practice makes perfect.

This wig has an L-part with lace front. As you can tell by the picture the lace is really transparent.

Along the hairline at the very front the wig has knots instead of being wefted all the way. This gives it a more natural look.

Awhile ago I asked for tips on where to get a nice and affordable wig. One follower directed me to Elevate styles.com and um to be short. I ended up buying 2 wigs.

They was affordable and as pictured on the website, but the shipping was as always.. Not so very cheap lol.
